10 Life Lessons.

"Be the change you want to see in the world" ~ Mahatma Gandhi.

We all have life lessons, maxims we live by and try to pass on to others. Our children, friends and family hopefully see them embodied in the way we live our lives. Below are ten simple life lessons I've learned from my first half century. What are your 10 Life Lessons?
  1. Expect more of yourself than others think is wise.
  2. You are never a failure - until you blame others.
  3. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
  4. People will listen, but no-one really cares about your opinions; until you've earned their respect.
  5. Children don't need critics - they need models.
  6. Action cures fear.
  7. When we think we are good - we are not.
  8. Never be late - it's the most arrogant insult to others.
  9. We all die and we are all accountable for our lives.
  10. Be the change you want to see in the world.

  1. 10 Life Lessons

    1. Love = Obedience… it’s really that simple.
    2. Knowledge is to know, Wisdom is applying what you know.
    3. Do You! If you don’t know who “you” are, then “Know” You!
    4. Stand firm in your belief system. If you believe it, others can see that, and in turn… believe in you.
    5. “Treasures” on earth will rust or be stolen… Your Treasures in heaven can never be stolen or destroyed! Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also! (Matthew 6:19-21)
    6. A building is not a temple… your body is! Treat it like one…
    7. When doing “good”, be consistent. When doing “bad”, learn from it and change it immediately.
    8. The past is History, the future is a mystery… the PRESENT is exactly what it is… a Present aka a Gift – live in the moment.
    9. Be humble.
    10. JESUS died to forgive us (Romans 3:22-24), let’s not take that for granted!
