Quantum Entanglement.

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent." ~ John Donne.

When you think about the world, people, and how we interact, relate to, and treat each other ~ Doesn't it make your head hurt a little bit? We search for meaning, a why, by simply trying to put things in a nice little box, with answers that tie it all together. It's human nature. We need to make sense of all this stuff and cause and effect solutions certainly seem to help us deal with the insanity ~ So we link stuff.

Now along comes a concept that, scientists believe, explains a whole heck of a lot. They call it Quantum Entanglement and it's pretty cool. Now I don't understand it as well as I should, and the concept is certainly a bit of challenge, but it seems to break down like this ~

All systems become entangled and they cannot be described without considering the objects they become entangled with.

They are talking about quantum physics but, from my perspective, it covers so much more. It just seems to me that this concept puts a damper on the whole "each man is an island" pitch we give ourselves each day and adds a little accountability to every one of the thoughts, words and actions we throw out into the world ~ Perhaps it's not just physics ~ Perhaps it's saying something much more profound?

Perhaps it's saying that our every thought, word and action effects everyone, and thing, and we can't be described without considering...

The 'objects' we become entangled with.

Here's a Wikipedia Link (Have an aspirin ready though). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_entanglement
